First-Mover Advantage (FMA)

The First-Mover Advantage pertains to the advantage that an initial project has in order to deliver a service or product into a new and uncharted market or facet of an industry.  As the project is the first to be launched, it stands uncontested and therefore entities who would be grabbing the opportunity would be able to establish brand recognition, market share, and consumer loyalty prior to other businesses that might be vying for such.

The FMA is highly important in that cryptocurrencies compete for the market that appears limited with consideration to its market and user base. As these companies and their networks are dependent directly on their visibility and reputation, securing a larger audience during the early stages can render significant leads.
