Graphical Processing Unit (GPU)

Popularly known as a graphics card, the Graphical Processing Unit or GPU refers to a computer chip that produces 3D images on computers. It manipulates and modifies memory to expedite image creation and is used in embedded systems, mobile phones, personal computers, workstations, and game consoles.

Much to the surprise of crypto traders, the GPU had turned out to be wholly useful for crypto mining. One of GPU’s primary functions is to perform rapid mathematical calculations. It had become relevant to the industry as mining digital tokens require thousands of calculations so as to add transactions to a blockchain.
