Hash Power/Hash Rate

Hash Power, also called “Hash Rate”, pertains to the unit of measurement for the number of computing power that is consumed by the network to constantly operate.

A computer’s Hash Power may be measured in kH/s, MH/s, GH/s, TH/s, PH/s or EH/s which depends on the hashes being created every second. 

Simply, Hash Power is the speed at which a cryptocurrency mining device operates. Success in coin mining, speed is considered an important factor given that the miner is attempting at solving a question, add a block to the chain, and gather rewards prior to everyone else.
