Numerai blends ML with data science competitions tied to real-world investing. Many other tokens just ride the AI hype without shipping anything substantial. Roadmaps matter more than buzz—watch who's actually deploying usable AI on-chain.

Tired of seeing every new whitepaper sprinkle in “AI” like it’s fairy dust. 90% of these so-called AI crypto projects wouldn’t pass a high school ML course. Half don’t even clarify what kind of AI they’re using is it predictive analytics, NLP, image recognition? No one knows. And those AI DAOs? Most are glorified multisigs with a voting bot.


If you're serious about this niche, look for projects with working APIs, open-source models, or at least a functioning demo. Roadmaps mean nothing without delivery. Right now, only a handful like Ocean Protocol and Fetch.ai are actually doing anything tangible. The rest are buzzword bait for desperate degens.

Data marketplaces using AI are definitely interesting – projects like Ocean Protocol are working on that space, where AI can enhance data sharing and help with more efficient pricing or analysis.

AI DAOs? I’m curious about how they’ll evolve, but governance through AI could be a game-changer. Some projects are experimenting with it, but it’s still early days.

As for crypto + ML tools, that’s where it gets fun. Some platforms like Numerai are using AI for predictive trading, which has solid backing and a legit model. If they keep building, that could be a big win.

A lot of these projects are definitely in the experimental stage, so always good to DYOR and look at the roadmaps to see if they’re actually building or just talking the talk.
